Incorporated in 1992, Horana Plantations PLC (HPL) was listed on the main board of the Colombo stock Exchange in 1996. As of then the company has grown to be one of Sri Lanka's premier Plantation Companies and diversified into a broad-based agribusiness entity specialized in production, processing and marketing.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) is the apex body of the University System in Sri Lanka which was established on 22nd December 1978 under the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978. The functions of the UGC are; planning and coordination of university education, allocation of funds to Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), maintenance of academic standards, regulation of the administration of HEIs and regulation of admission of students to HEIs.

Recommend principles of policy relating to the use of the Official Languages, and to monitor and supervise compliance with the provisions contained in Chapter IV of the Constitution of Sri Lanka.

Hotline 1954 - Established by Act No. 19 of 1994 to provide the establishment of a permanent Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and to direct the institution of prosecutions for offences under the Bribery Act and the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities Law, No. 1 of 1975.

The main goal of the Finance Commission is to ensure the achievement of balanced regional development throughout the country. Ensuring equitable distribution of financial resources among provinces. Advising on financial allocations to provincial councils and monitoring the use of funds.

Hotline 1996 Protecting and promoting human rights in Sri Lanka. Investigating human rights violations, advising the government on human rights issues, and educating the public about human rights.

Ensuring the financial integrity of government institutions through audits. Overseeing the work of the Auditor General, conducting audits of public accounts, and ensuring transparency in public financial management.

Overseeing the police force's functioning and maintaining discipline within the police service. Recommending appointments, transfers, promotions of police officers, and ensuring police accountability. NPC established under the 21st Amendment and is vested with powers pertaining to the Establishment Matters  and entertaining and investigation of public complaints against Police Officers.
